Orbea Lifetime Commercial Warranty
Orbea offers a lifetime commercial warranty, which comes into effect once the legal warranty period of three (3) years has expired. In countries where there is no mandatory legal period, the lifetime warranty applies after the equivalent three (3)-year commercial warranty period has ended, provided the following conditions are met.
Coverage
The lifetime warranty applies to all Orbea-manufactured frames and rigid forks. It covers breakages or cracks caused by manufacturing defects, without time limitation.
In dual-suspension bicycles, the term “frame” includes chainstays, seatstays, links, and front triangles, excluding suspension forks and components considered spare parts.
The original purchaser is entitled to repair or replacement of the affected frame and/or rigid fork.
Terms and Conditions
The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser, who must register the bicycle or frame through the online form within 30 days of purchase.
The warranty is non-transferable to subsequent purchasers. To activate the warranty, the user must present the purchase invoice to Orbea or the distributor, along with proof of identity. This registration requirement applies exclusively to the lifetime warranty and does not affect the legal warranty period or, in countries without a legal period, the equivalent three-year commercial warranty.
The warranty does not cover breakages or cracks resulting from negligent use of the bicycle, installation of non-original components, or improper handling or maintenance by the user or third parties. The user must keep the product in good working order, following the instructions in the manual supplied with the bicycle and those published on the Orbea website. Orbea may reject any claim whose direct cause is poor product maintenance.
Given the nature of bicycle use, both on-road and off-road, this warranty is limited exclusively to replacement of affected components and does not cover personal injuries that may result directly or indirectly from use. In the event of a traffic accident, regardless of its cause, Orbea’s warranty becomes void for the frame or fork.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orbea shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, exceptional, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the product, whether based on warranty claim, contract, negligence, tort, or any other cause, even if Orbea has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation of liability does not affect rights granted under applicable consumer protection laws.
Claim Procedure
To request coverage under the lifetime warranty, the user must go to the point of sale where the product was purchased so that the dealer can process the claim. If this is not possible, the user may contact another authorized Orbea dealer or the brand directly for instructions. The purchase invoice and proof of identity must be provided.
If repair is not possible, Orbea will replace the defective product with another of similar characteristics. If this is not possible, a product of equal quality and performance will be supplied, or, at Orbea’s discretion, a proportional discount will be offered toward the purchase of a new product. For personalized bicycles from the MyO range, replacement may be made with products of similar colors if the original customization cannot be reproduced.
If the frame is replaced with another of the same characteristics, the warranty does not cover replacement of any original components incompatible with the replacement product; installation costs for such components are borne by the user.
If shipping to Orbea’s facilities is required, the company will bear the shipping costs only if the claim is processed through the dealer where the product was purchased. Orbea may charge the user for costs if the claim is managed through another dealer or if it is not covered by the warranty.
All labor costs for disassembly and reassembly of the frame or fork will always be borne by the user, regardless of whether performed by Orbea or an authorized dealer.
The warranty is subject to Orbea’s technical evaluation of the nature of the product defect.
