Whistleblower Channel
ORBEA's Whistleblower Channel is the communication channel for its employees, associates, partners, suppliers and/or customers or any third party to report violations or infringements of the Code of Conduct (see Code of Conduct) and other internal rules of conduct, as well as any administrative or criminal offenses of which they may become aware.
This information will be managed by a representative of ORBEA's Ethics Committee, a collective body made up of members appointed for this purpose by the Cooperative's General Assembly, who will ensure compliance with and internal dissemination of the Code of Conduct to all ORBEA personnel, and manage the Whistleblower Channel and other internal information channels.
The Ethics Committee may act on its own initiative or at the request of any whistleblower in relation to possible breaches or non-compliances brought to its attention.
The Ethics Committee must act in an independent and autonomous manner at all times, and must ensure the confidentiality of all data and background information that it handles. Also, it must conduct an exhaustive analysis of any data or information provided, act with full respect for the right to a hearing and the presumption of innocence of the persons concerned, and ensure that there are no reprisals against any whistleblower.
To this end, ORBEA makes it possible for communications to be sent by the following means:
E-mail:buzondenuncias@orbea.com
Postal mail: Polígono Goitondo S/N, Mallabia
Telephone: +34 663 002 706*
Complaints can also be made via the following web form:
Regardless of the means of communication chosen, ORBEA guarantees that communications shall be treated with the utmost confidentiality and that all complaints can be reported to the Ethics Committee anonymously, as identification will not be required for the Committee to initiate the mandatory investigation once the complaint has been received, regardless of the means of communication chosen. In all cases, complaints must include an extensive description of the conduct being reported, including as much detail as possible, the date and place where it occurred, and the identification of the person(s) being reported.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, it is recommended that the whistleblower includes at least one point of contact in the text of the complaint to allow the Ethics Committee to conduct a more thorough and effective investigation.
In addition to this Channel, any natural person may report irregularities to the Independent Whistleblower Protection Authority (A.A.I. By its Spanish acronym), or to the corresponding regional authorities or bodies.
